Inclusive Africa Conference 2022
The third-annual inclusive Africa conference, Organized by inABLE in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation is set to take place on May 25- 26 at the Trademark Hotel in Nairobi.
inABLE is a non-profit organization based in Kenya and USA with a mission to empower the blind and visually impaired in Africa by using assistive technology.
Bearing the theme “Advancing Digital Accessibility and Assistive Technology in Africa”, this year’s event promotes inclusive employment, education, ICT policies, financial services, digital innovations, and mobile assistive technology, and will be made accessible through live captions, sign language, and translation in English and French.
“The Inclusive Africa Conference is able to showcase Persons with Disabilities leaders, assistive technology innovations, and digital accessibility best practices with the Platinum, Gold, and Accessibility Sponsor contributions.” inABLE Executive Director Irene Mbari-Kirika stated.
Over 200 in-person delegates, from across the globe are anticipated, among them, Founder and Managing Director Sign Media Limited, Luke Muleka, who will be showcasing the assitALL mobile app, as part of assistive technology innovations.
The event will open with a historic launch of the first-ever National ICT Accessibility Standard for products and services in Africa, followed by two days of high-level discussions led by over 30 global leaders across Africa and the world.
