Arsenal are undoubtedly in their greatest form ever, even more relevantly so after completing their first league double over Spurs since the 2013-2014 season, moving eight points clear at the top.

Coincidentally, Mikel Arteta’s side are replicating ‘The Invincibles’ of the 2003-04 and with, in fact, 47 points, their highest ever total after 18 games.

The Gunners forced an early blunder out of Tottenham Goalkeeper Lloris, gifting Arsenal an own goal off Saka’s close range shot. The Spurs captain now directly gifting four goals this season in what is increasingly a string of random errors.

A dominant first-half display from Arsenal once again bore fruit as Martin Odegaard’s long range effort found the back of the net, silencing spurs and putting Arsenal in a commanding position in the title race.

Antonio Conte’s side improved in the second half but they could not find a way past an avid Aaron Ramsdale, who made a string of fine saves.

Harry Kane had his effort denied after a well worked team play with Dejan Kulusevski but Ramsdale’s best stop came from Ryan Sessegnon’s low-shot effort after he had got in behind the Arsenal defence.

Kulusevski found space in between Arsenal defence, but his shot went narrowly wide, after that Arsenal regained their dominance and took Spurs head on.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be facing Manchester United in their next Premier League assignment with Conte’s men bracing for Fulham.
