Kenyan gospel singer Beatrice Wairimu Mbugua, professionally known as Betty Bayo, has died at Kenyatta National Hospital .
Her passing was confirmed by her ex-partner, Pastor Kanyari, who mourned her as the "mother to my kids."
"It hurts in ways I can’t explain. You left before I could say everything I needed to" he added as he mourned his ex-partner.
Bishop Muthee Kengei also announced the news, specifying that Bayo succumbed to a long battle with Leukemia.
Kengei praised her legacy, highlighting her significant contributions to Kenyan gospel music, her dedication to worship, and her impact on the industry.
Bayo was best known for her powerful hit song, "Eleventh Hour," which became an inspirational staple in churches and across gospel platforms, establishing her as an influential figure in the genre.
