Former DP Gachagua to Challenge High Court Ruling on his Impeachement

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced his intention to challenge the High Court's decision to uphold his impeachment.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, June 9, Gachagua argued that the judges misapplied the law and ignored the principles of natural justice.
He plans to take the battle to the Court of Appeal and, if necessary, the Supreme Court.
While reaffirming his respect for the judiciary, he strongly disagreed with the court's legal interpretation.
Additionally, Gachagua rejected the Ksh50 million compensation ordered by the court, calling it an "insult" to his rights. He emphasized that his fight is about justice and constitutional supremacy, not money.
