A  cross section of churches  have petitioned President elect William Ruto to commence fulfilling  promises he gave to the residents  within 100 days in office.

Evangelical  Churches of Kenya, Kisii county, chairman Bishop Charles Isaboke remarked ordinary residents and the faithful underwent economic difficulties which required urgent fixing by the President.

The  petition was indicative of Kenyan’s heightened anxiety  over  expediting of  constitution of the new political dispensation  to  pave way for  service delivery.

He cited rising cost of foodstuffs and petroleum products as some of the essential non-affordable items by the ordinary citizens whose price review Ruto   had promised.

Bishop Isaboke,  explained the church was a tax payer and should also benefit from the several pledges made by the President elect  during the election campaign period.

Kenyans, he claimed were more inclined to vote overwhelmingly in subsequent general polls if they were assured of the government’s commitment to address their economic challenges.

He appealed to the faithful to maintain peace even as the newly elected government settled to consider their needs.
