Beni McCarthy Names Harambee Stars Squad For World Cup Qualifiers Against Gambia And Seychelles

Kenya head coach Beni McCarthy has unveiled his final 23-man Harambee Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Seychelles.
The squad features a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talents, with Michael Olunga leading the attack alongside Emmanuel Osoro, Job Ochieng and the newly called-up Ryan Ogam.
In midfield, McCarthy has entrusted Richard Odada, Timothy Ouma, Duke Abuya and Alpha Onyango to provide creativity and stability, while defenders such as Sylvester Owino, Rooney Onyango and Alphonse Omija will anchor the backline. Goalkeepers Faruk Shikhalo, Brian Bwire and Byrne Omondi have also been retained.
Kenya will host Gambia before traveling away to face Seychelles as they continue their journey in the race to secure a ticket for the 2026 World Cup set to be co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico.
