Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, professionally known as Asake, has issued a public response after a catastrophic event at his Nairobi, Kenya, concert on December 20, 2025. The incident, which resulted in the death of a young woman named Karen Lojore, has caused widespread distress throughout the regional and international music community.

Through a poignant message shared via his Instagram stories, the chart-topping artist expressed his profound "devastation" regarding the night's events. He characterized the loss of life as both agonizing and intolerable, especially given the intended nature of the gathering.

"My heart goes out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Karen Lojore,” Asake stated. He further committed himself to the aftermath, asserting, “I pledge to support and do my best to understand what happened. Those responsible should be held accountable.”
Known for his vibrant and high-octane shows that have garnered him international acclaim, the singer emphasized that his artistic mission is rooted in the distribution of joy and affection. He noted that this mission makes the recent tragedy particularly difficult for him to reconcile.

“It breaks my heart that anyone had to experience such loss,” the artist continued. “My thoughts are with everyone grieving, and I pray that Karen rests in peace. God bless Kenya.”

The event’s production firm, Tukutane Entertainment, also issued a formal communication confirming the fatality. They expressed deep grief over the tragedy and offered their sympathies to the victim's family and social circle
