2022 Election: Senatorial Race

Independent, Electoral and Boundaries Commission on Tuesday conducted the 2022 general election, an exercise that gives Kenyans an opportunity to exercise their civic duty of choosing their preferred candidates for the presidency to members of the county assembly.

In the past three days, the commission has been working tirelessly to ensure that Kenyans get to know who won the race as per the choices they made.

According to the electoral agency, elections results that have been tallied across the country show the following for the senatorial race in various counties:

Homa Bay County: Moses Kajwang’ of ODM has retained his seat with 353,882 votes.

Kisumu County: ODM’s Tom Ojienda with a vote count of 413,121. 

Bungoma County: Ford Kenya Moses Wetang’ula seat with 286,143 votes.

Migori: ODM candidate Eddy Oketch garnered 295,228 votes, winning the seat. 

Busia County: NRA party candidate Okiya Omtatah won with 171,681 votes.

Uasin Gishu County: Jackson Mandago (UDA) – 252 800 votes 

Kakamega County: Boni Khalwale (UDA) – 247 860 votes 

West Pokot County: Julius Murgor (UDA) – 72240 votes

Trans Nzoia: Allan Chesang (UDA)  -123,793 votes
