William Kamoti is Dead
Rabai Member of Parliament William Kamoti is dead.
Kamoti died in a road accident in the Komaza area along the Kilifi-Mombasa highway on Sunday evening.
The Orange Democratic party while confirming the MP's death said, the incident happened shortly after Kamoti had presented his papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
According to eyewitnesses, Kamoti's car rolled while the driver was trying to overtake a lorry heading towards Mombasa.
The MP was elected in 2017 on an ODM ticket and he was seeking to vie for a third term.
His driver was rushed to Kilifi county hospital where he is battling for his life.
Prominent leaders through social media have shared their condolence messages to the family of the late, describing him as a devoted and hardworking leader.
