Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement with Igor Tudor to become the club’s interim head coach until the end of the season, according to multiple reports in England.
The 47-year-old Croatian is set to sign a short-term contract running through the current campaign, with no permanent option included in the agreement. The move is designed as a temporary solution while the club assesses long-term managerial plans ahead of the summer.
Tudor brings experience from managing at top European sides, including spells at Juventus and Marseille, as well as previous roles in Serie A and Ligue 1. This will mark his first coaching assignment in the Premier League.
The recruitment process was led by Tottenham’s chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and technical director Johan Lange, who moved swiftly following the club’s managerial vacancy.
Spurs have endured an inconsistent league campaign and are seeking stability during the run-in. The board is understood to have prioritised a coach with experience in high-pressure environments and top-level dressing rooms.
Tudor is expected to take charge of training immediately once contractual formalities are completed. His first match in charge could come within days as Tottenham look to steady their season.
The North London club are expected to revisit their managerial options at the end of the campaign, with the interim structure providing flexibility as they prepare for a broader search in the off-season.
