The KCB Golf Series Moves to Machakos

The 14th leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour is set to take place at the 9-hole Machakos Golf Club over the weekend. Morning play is scheduled to commence at 7:00 am, with 140 golfers anticipated to take to the fairways, vying for the top two spots in order to qualify for the tour's grand finale next month at the Karen Country Club.

Up to now, 12 teams have secured a place in the Pro-Am event of the series. The latest participants include Phylis Kisuna, J. Jesang, J. Cheruiyot, and J. Kisuna, who have joined the ranks following the 13th edition held in Kitale.

"We're expecting a turnout of over 100 golfers for Saturday's golfing event. The weather in Machakos has been splendid, and we're eagerly anticipating an exciting day of golf. The course is in great condition, thanks to our diligent Greens Manager who has been working tirelessly to prepare for the KCB East Africa Golf Tour," remarked Machakos Golf Club Captain Peter Kimetu.

Eliud Siganga, recipient of the Staff Winner Award in Mombasa, along with the formidable hitters Millicent Melo, John Okulo, and Ibrahim Lande, are poised to be the prominent figures in the tournament, promising an engaging and competitive experience.

Rosalind Gichuru, KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communication, expressed her contentment, stating, "We are delighted that our golf series is generating lasting memories across the splendid golf courses in the country and positively impacting individuals. This initiative aligns with our new brand purpose, 'for people, for better,' aiming to make a difference in people's lives. We anticipate an exceptional golf event, and I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the top two teams."

The action on Saturday will conclude with a golf clinic on Sunday morning, catering to juniors and ladies. Additionally, a tree planting activity at the same venue will take place as part of KCB's commitment to sustainability.
