The team of Dilash Bhayani, D.S. Bhachu, Ashit Shah, and Rasesh Bakhai claimed the overall team title at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour in Sigona, amassing an impressive 107 points at the par-72 course on Saturday.

They narrowly edged past the quartet of Bhupinder Sehmi, Imran Nanji, Nishwal Shah, and Gopal Savani, who scored 106 points on countback. Both squads have secured their place in the tour’s grand finale scheduled for December 5, 2025.

Reflecting on the win, Bhayani credited teamwork and focus: “We came in with a plan, stayed disciplined, and supported each other. Golf demands patience, precision, and unity—and today, we showed what’s possible when those align. We’re excited for the finale and will give it everything.”

On the individual front, handicap 16 golfer Palkesh Shah carded 41 Stableford points to take the day’s overall winner’s title, edging fellow handicap 16 player Pritesh Patel on countback. Bethwel Ogwayo (15) posted 39 points to win the men’s title ahead of Nasoor Verje (12) on countback, while Nirmla Devi (24) topped the ladies’ category with 38 points, just one ahead of runner-up Archana Sanger (16).

Division 2 honors went to Winnie Ngethe, who also recorded 41 points. In the guests’ category, Nicholas Gathuru (15) led with 39 points. Among staff, Millicent Mello (20) won with 32 points, narrowly beating Nelson Wanyoyi (25) on countback. The junior title was claimed by Reyaan Nanji (16) with 23 points.

Special prize winners included Daniel Karuga for Nearest to Pin, while Longest Drive went to Scola Onsongo (ladies) and G.M. Gitau (men).

The next stop in the KCB East Africa Golf Tour is set for Railway Golf Club on August 16, 2025.
