The National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), in collaboration with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Ministry of Health, is scheduled to begin a nationwide tax exemption vetting exercise on November 11, 2025.

This collaborative, multi-agency process is mandatory for all applicants seeking income tax exemption status, ensuring proper verification across health, revenue, and disability sectors.

In line with the Government's continued commitment to digitization and stronger inter-agency linkages, a crucial new requirement has been put in place: applicants must first submit their exemption applications through the eCitizen platform before they are allowed to appear for the physical vetting.

This ensures a streamlined, digitally supported process, and all eligible individuals are advised to complete their digital submissions before the November 11 start date.
