Ruto Defends Youth Employment Record, Dares Opposition To Reveal Their Plan

BY BARAKA SIMBA
President William Ruto has called on his political rivals to make public their strategies for empowering Kenyan youth, asserting that his government already has a solid and results-driven plan.
“We challenge our competitors to lay bare their plan for empowering our youth,” Ruto stated in a post shared on his official social media accounts.
He highlighted several ongoing government initiatives that have already provided meaningful employment opportunities. The labour mobility programme has absorbed 400,000 youth, the Affordable Housing Project has created jobs for 320,000, while the Climate WorX programme has employed 20,000 young people in environmental work.
Ruto also dismissed what he termed as unproductive approaches by the opposition.
“The alternative plan in the transformation of Kenya cannot be inciting young people to cause havoc in the country,” he said.
While touring Dandora in Embakasi West, the President inspected progress on the Nairobi Rivers Regeneration Programme, which he said has already created 20,000 job opportunities for youth in the city. An additional 20,000 youth are expected to begin working under the same programme next Monday.
President Ruto reiterated his administration’s commitment to empowering the youth through job creation, structured development, and national transformation.
