Police in Ruiru have arrested a man after a woman accused him of biting her while they were together at a lodging in Kiambu County, in an incident that has sparked widespread public attention both locally and on social media.
According to reports, the woman had accompanied the suspect to a lodging in Ruiru on Saturday before the alleged attack occurred. Moments later, she reportedly ran out of the room screaming for help, with visible injuries to her lips and mouth. Her cries attracted residents and passers-by who rushed to the scene.
Witnesses said the distressed woman repeatedly told members of the public that the man had bitten her inside the room and pleaded with them not to let him escape. Videos recorded at the scene showed a crowd surrounding the suspect as the woman pointed him out.
