“I will be with Imran in the government,” Raila stated during a rally.

Azimio presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has asked Imran Okoth to step down for the Kibra MP race for Mwalimu Orero as the incoming, promising that he will hold Imran while speaking during a rally in the constituency.

Imran came into the office through a by-election in 2019 via the ODM ticket after defeating Mariga who was running under the UDA ticket. This was after his brother, Ken Okoth, who was the area’s Member of Parliament succumbed to cancer.

Imran lost in the ODM primaries held in April and has been running his campaign as an independent candidate under the name ‘Kibra ni Nyumbani’, while at the same time urging the people to vote for Raila Odinga.
