Pump Prices Drop
The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced a Ksh.5 reduction in the price of super petrol and diesel, effective January 15th.
This means Kenya will save at the pump for a month, with super petrol down by Ksh.5 per liter, diesel by Ksh.5, and even kerosene seeing a decrease of Ksh.4.82.
Super petrol in Nairobi will retail at Ksh.207.36 cents per litre, while diesel will go for Ksh.196.47. Kerosene will cost Ksh.194.23 per litre.
In Mombasa, super petrol will retail at Ksh.204.30 cents per litre, while diesel will go for Ksh.193.41 as kerosene costs Ksh.191.05 per litre.
EPRA credits the decrease to a 2.40% drop in the average landed cost of imported super petrol between November and December 2023.
