Professor Magoha urges universities to embark on research and innovations
Education Updated: 03 November 2021 11:41 EATEducation Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha has challenged institutions of higher learning to embark on research and innovations that will help the country deal with some social and economic problems.
Speaking at the Murang’a University of Technology today, Magoha launched a three-day international conference on technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development, the CS observed that some barriers like food insecurity, health, among others can be solved if universities can actively engage in research.
He noted that at this time, the country could not be importing some items if innovation is given first priority in institutions of higher learning.
