President Ruto Winds Up Mt. Kenya Development Tour
President William Ruto is today winding up his five-day development tour of the Mt. Kenya region.
The tour which began on Saturday morning has seen the head of state launch a series of projects in Kiambu, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, and Nyeri Counties.
In Murang'a, President Ruto launched the Ichamara-Rutune Road and the Kaigonji Water Project. He also opened the Nyeri bus park and stage.
He commissioned the Githurai Water Supply Project and the new Githurai Market in Kiambu County.
He also commissioned the upgrading to bitumen standards of the Marua-state lodge, Ruthagati-Mahigaini, Chieni-Hiriga-Kiamariga, Ndundu-ini-Kwa wambui-Karandi roads.
He further re-launched and expanded stalled government projects in the regions promising to modernize them.
On Sunday, the head of state hosted leaders for an interdenominational church service at Sagana state lodge.
The head of state used the tour to share his vision for the Mt. Kenya region. He promised to continue investing in infrastructure, agriculture, and healthcare in the region.
He is expected to end his trip at Kieni constituency where he will commission the Naromoru Level IV Hospital and later finalize at Thika to launch the Karimenu Dam Water Supply Project and affordable housing.
The tour was well-received by the people of Mt. Kenya. They have welcomed Ruto's investment in the region and his commitment to improving their lives.
