Faith Boinett to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Pipeline Company Limited for a period of three years.
President William Ruto has reappointed Faith Boinett as the non-executive chairperson of the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Board of Directors for another three-year term, effective December 23. The decision was announced through an official Gazette notice issued under the State Corporations Act, signalling continuity at one of the country’s most strategic state-owned enterprises.
Boinett was first appointed to the position in December 2022, taking over leadership of the KPC board during a period of transition following the 2022 General Election. Her reappointment reflects the government’s confidence in her leadership as the energy sector remains critical to Kenya’s economic stability.
A seasoned lawyer and governance expert, Boinett brings more than two decades of experience in legal practice, compliance, public financial management and corporate governance. She is the managing partner at Boinett & Bett Company Advocates and has previously served on several public sector boards and committees.
Kenya Pipeline Company plays a central role in the transportation and storage of petroleum products across the country and the wider region. The firm remains key to energy security, with its operations closely linked to fuel supply, pricing stability and economic activity.
Boinett’s renewed mandate comes amid heightened focus on accountability and performance in state corporations. Observers say her continued tenure is expected to provide stability as KPC navigates operational reforms and the government’s broader agenda for improved governance in public institutions.
