President Ruto Presides Over Madaraka Day Celebrations In Homabay

President William Ruto today led the nation in marking the 62nd Madaraka Day celebrations at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay County. The event was marked by pomp, color, and a strong message of unity, transformation, and national pride.
In his keynote address, President Ruto urged Kenyans to embrace change and have faith in the government's transformation agenda. He described Madaraka Day as a time for deep reflection and reaffirmation of the country’s collective self-belief.
“Let us have the faith to believe in our plans for transformation, the courage to execute them, and the patience and focus to build a prosperous and inclusive Kenya that we can all be proud of,” the President said in a message shared on his social media platforms shortly after the event.
The President emphasized that belief in the nation's potential would inspire the courage needed to act and the resilience to stay the course.
President Ruto was joined by several dignitaries, including the President of Slovenia, Natasha Pirc Musar; Deputy President Kithure Kindiki; former Prime Minister Raila Odinga; Cabinet Secretaries; Governors; Members of Parliament; and MCAs. Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga played host to the national event.
This year's Madaraka Day theme centered around transformation, inclusive growth, and national unity, highlighting the importance of working together to build a future that benefits all Kenyans.
