Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are set to be part of the 14th edition of the East African Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games, scheduled to take place in Mombasa County from December 6 to 18.

The PWDs will compete in a dedicated darts competition. Dart-throwing is a competitive sport in which two or more players bare-handedly throw small, sharp-pointed projectiles known as darts at a round target known as a dartboard

This inclusion highlights the commitment to fostering unity and cooperation among EAC member states, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can participate in the event.

According to Teso South MP Mary Emaase Over 1,500 legislators and parliamentary staff from across the region are expected to attend the games.

The Teso South Legislator says the National Assembly sports team has intensified preparations at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Six East African Community (EAC) member states—Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, and Kenya—have confirmed their participation, and the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) will field a separate team, making the competition even more exciting.
