Newly Promoted ANU Wolfpack Defeat Defending Champions KPA Dockers.

It was a joyful Sunday evening for the African Nazarene Basketball men team after they defeated the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) men’s team at Nyayo basketball gymnasium.

KPA Dockers are currently the defending champions in the Kenyan premiere League after they defeated Ulinzi Warriors during last season in a 5 series game playoffs winning 3 games against 2 to become Kenya Basketball federation champs.

This came as a shock to the Defending Champions who never expected to lose the game after their new signings of Situma Khaemba from Ulinzi Warriors and Eugene Adera from Emyba who got relegated to Division 1.

ANU wolfpack took the lead in a close game, defeating the visiting champions 73 points to 63 points, registering the first loss for KPA Dockers since the beginning of the season.

There new signing Marial James who recently made a move from Zetech, was the top scorer with 23 points that led the ANU Wolf pack to victory.

"The young bloodz wanted all the smoke and put the vets on notice. Good Game ", commented one of the basketball fans Mokaya osiende who watched the game as it went down.

It was very closely contested game as the Wolfpack dominated the game, taking most of the rebounds offensively and defensively and ability to run down the floor that gave them the victory.

Both KPA men and women team, are set to represent Kenya at the 2022 annual Basketball League Africa (BAL) and Zone V championships.
