NCPWD Announces Education Grant Scheme for Students With Disabilities 2024-2025
The National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD), in collaboration with the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), is launching the 2024-2025 Education Grant Scheme. This initiative aims to support students with disabilities pursuing higher education in Kenya.
Marking 20 years of disability inclusion in the country, the scheme welcomes applications from both first-time and returning students.
The grant provides financial assistance to individuals with disabilities registered with NCPWD who are enrolled in public or private universities, accredited medical training institutions, and other recognized institutions of higher learning within Kenya.
Interested students can apply through the HELB Student Portal accessible at www.helb.co.ke. Registration is required to create and activate an account.
During registration, ensure you use your personal mobile number, a valid Kenyan ID number, and a confirmed Person with Disabilities (PWD) registration number.
