MCK CEO David Omwoyo Elected Chair Of World Press Council

Media Council of Kenya (MCK) CEO David Omwoyo, MBS, has been elected Chairperson of the World Association of Press Councils (WAPC). His election took place during the WAPC Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Arusha, Tanzania.
The announcement was made during the ongoing 2nd Pan African Media Councils Summit, which has brought together media leaders and regulatory bodies from across the continent.
Omwoyo’s election is a notable achievement for Kenya’s media sector and highlights the country's increasing role in global media leadership. The WAPC is a respected international body that brings together press councils committed to upholding media ethics and freedom of expression.
