Manchester United has confirmed a five percent increase in season‑ticket prices for the 2026/27 season, affecting all areas of Old Trafford. The lowest adult general admission ticket will now cost £646, averaging around £34 per match across 19 Premier League home games.
The club said the adjustment is intended to generate additional revenue to invest in the first team, improve stadium facilities, and maintain financial sustainability amid rising operational costs.
Officials emphasized that the price rise is relatively modest, equating to roughly £2 more per game for adults and about £1 per game for supporters under 16. Concession policies for seniors and younger fans remain in place under the new structure.
Manchester United highlighted that the funds will support squad development, training facilities, and matchday experience enhancements, reinforcing the club’s ambition to compete at the highest levels both domestically and in European competitions.
The announcement has drawn criticism from fan groups, particularly the Manchester United Supporters’ Trust, which raised concerns over affordability and the broader impact of rising ticket prices on loyal supporters.
In addition to the price increase, the club plans to relocate approximately 600 supporters in parts of the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand to create additional hospitality seating, a move that has caused further discontent among long-standing season-ticket holders.
United officials reassured fans that ticket-usage policies for cup and European matches will remain fair, with no match exceeding 1/19th of the season-ticket price, aiming to maintain transparency and predictability for supporters.
The club said it will communicate directly with all season-ticket holders regarding the new pricing, payment options, and available benefits, while stressing that the increase is part of a broader strategy to support both on-field success and improved fan experience.
