Wolverhampton star Jorgen Strand Larsen
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jørgen Strand Larsen in a deal worth up to £50 million, making it the most expensive transfer in the club’s history.
The agreement is understood to include £45 million paid upfront, with a further £5 million in achievable add-ons, comfortably surpassing Palace’s previous record fee of £35 million paid for Brennan Johnson earlier this month.
Strand Larsen has successfully completed his medical and agreed personal terms, before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract with the South London club as the January transfer window approaches its final stages.
The 24-year-old Norway international arrives after an impressive spell at Wolves, where he emerged as a key attacking figure thanks to his physical presence, hold-up play and consistent goal contributions in the Premier League.
For Wolves, the sale represents a significant financial boost as they continue to manage squad restructuring, though it leaves them with a major gap to fill in attack heading into the remainder of the season.
Crystal Palace view the signing as a statement of intent, with the club keen to add a recognised No.9 capable of leading the line and elevating their attacking output in the second half of the campaign.
An official club announcement is expected imminently, but all documentation has now been completed, confirming Strand Larsen as Crystal Palace’s new record signing.
