Kisii Governor Condemns Brutality Of A Minor

Kisii governor Simba Arati has condemned the gouging out of eyes of a three years old boy by unknown people in Marani.
Speaking at Kisii Eye Hospital when he visited the child the governor termed the act unfortunate.
He urged community health workers to do routine check-ups on mental health issues in rural areas.
Arati also asked the local administration to be on the lookout for such perpetrators in society with a view to holding them legally accountable.
Plans were underway, he revealed by the county to allocate funds for the construction of a rescue Centre for the victims of such brutality.
Dr. Dan Kiage who attended to the child ruled out the possibility of him ever regaining eyesight. He said the boy could be discharged from the hospital.
