Kisii County MCAs Concerned Over Raila's Planned Protests

A section of Kisii County Assembly Members has pleaded with ODM party leader Raila Odinga to shelve his agitation for political protests.
Speaking at Nyamagwa Catholic Parish, the MCAS from Bobasi constituency wards led by Boitang'are ward rep Thomas Obare claimed the planned demonstrations were likely to stall development activities.
They wanted Raila to tone down his fury over the firing of the beleaguered four electoral body commissioners and subsequent probe.
The MCAS further took issue with Kisii Governor Simba Arati for his alleged combative leadership approach.
They advised him to change and focus on development if he was to secure an exemplary legacy.
Nobody was bent on fighting the governor they remarked adding it was time he engaged elected leaders with a view of finding an agreed style of working closely for the benefit of the county residents.
The ward representatives blamed governor Arati for what they claimed was responsible for the current backlash on him from some area political leaders.
