Is It Karua, Kenneth and Kalonzo?

The Azimio-One Kenya Coalition has submitted its final list of candidates recommended for the position of presidential candidate running mate in the August General Election.

This is after the panel conducted an interview with 11 selected candidates from different political parties in the Azimio-One Kenya coalition.

The candidates appeared before the Dr. Noah Wekesa-led panel at the Serena Hotel on Monday and Tuesday.

The panel was to hand over the names to President Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday but it was postponed because Odinga was out on a campaign tour.

The Azimio panel comprised Ms. Meyo, Bishop Peter Njenga, Archbishop (Rtd) Zaccheus Okoth, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, Narc Kenya Secretary-General Michael Orwa, former Cabinet Minister Noah Wekesa, Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya Organising Secretary Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa and Ms. Beatrice Askul Moe from Turkana County.

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Chege, and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth were the first candidates to appear before the panel.

Others include; Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Narc Kenya's Martha Karua, KANU Chairman Senator Gideon Moi, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, former Kenyan Ambassador to Australia Stephen Tarus, deputy ODM party leader Wycliffe Oparanya and Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.

Presidential aspirants have until May 16th to name their running mates for the August 9th election.
