Gabriel Jesus returns to Arsenal team training
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has officially returned to full first-team training ahead of the club’s weekend fixture against Sunderland. The Brazilian forward has completed his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury and is now in contention for selection on Saturday.
Jesus had been sidelined for several months after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury earlier in the year. His return comes as a timely boost for manager Mikel Arteta, who has been managing limited attacking options in recent weeks.
Club sources confirmed that Jesus trained fully with the rest of the squad at London Sobha reality traing centre this week, participating in tactical and finishing drills without restriction. Arteta is expected to decide whether to include him in the matchday squad following the final training session on Friday.
The 28-year-old’s comeback will strengthen Arsenal’s attacking depth as the Gunners push to maintain momentum in the Premier League and prepare for upcoming European fixtures.
