Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority has announced that fuel prices will remain unchanged in its latest monthly review, offering temporary relief to motorists and households across the country.

In the new pricing cycle running from March 15 to April 14, 2026, a litre of super petrol in Nairobi will continue retailing at Sh178.28, while diesel will sell at Sh166.54 and kerosene at Sh152.78.

The regulator said the prices will take effect at midnight and remain in force for the next 30-day period under the country’s monthly petroleum pricing framework.

The authority noted that the listed pump prices already include the 16 percent Value Added Tax in line with provisions under the Finance Act and other tax regulations governing petroleum products in Kenya.

Across other major towns, fuel prices remain slightly lower than in the capital due to transport and distribution cost differences applied during pricing.

In Mombasa, a litre of petrol will retail at about Sh175.00 while diesel will cost around Sh163.26 and kerosene about Sh149.49.

Motorists in Nakuru will pay roughly Sh177.34 per litre of petrol, Sh165.95 for diesel and Sh152.21 for kerosene during the same cycle.

Meanwhile in Kisumu, petrol will retail at about Sh178.16 per litre, diesel at Sh166.76 and kerosene at around Sh153.03.

The decision to maintain current prices comes after reductions recorded in the previous monthly review and is expected to cushion consumers from possible fluctuations in global oil markets.
