EACOC Nominates Prof. Fred Ogola as African Development Bank (AfDB) Expert

The Eurasia Afro Chamber of Commerce (EACOC) has announced the nomination of Prof. Fred Ogola, Head, East Africa (EACOC Global Team), as an Expert with the African Development Bank (AfDB).
This appointment marks a significant development in the EACOC’s multilateral engagement. The nomination was made under the AfDB’s Civil Society Partnership System and is specifically for the 2026–2027 term.
Prof. Ogola’s selection is a direct recognition of his distinguished expertise in Economics, Strategy, and Governance, skills that will be crucial in contributing to the bank’s development agenda.
This nomination reflects the EACOC’s expanding influence and its growing credibility as a trusted partner in shaping international development dialogue.
By securing a representative within the AfDB, the Chamber gains a strategic platform to further its core objectives.
Specifically, the EACOC aims to strengthen institutional engagement with the AfDB and other multilateral agencies, actively champion inclusive growth, sustainable development, and corporate governance reforms across the African continent, and promote regional trade integration and global cooperation in alignment with both the UN 2030 Agenda and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
The milestone reaffirms the Eurasia Afro Chamber of Commerce’s fundamental mission of bridging Africa, Eurasia, and the global community through effective policy dialogue, enterprise development, and multilateral cooperation.
