DEPUTY PRESIDENT BREAK PROTOCAL TO INVITE MARTHA KARUA AT NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST.
Deputy President William Ruto dared the norm and protocol by inviting Raila Odinga running mate Martha Karua to share her remarks during the National breakfast prayer day.
William Ruto called Martha Karua on the stage before he could speak on behalf of his major competitor former prime minister Raila Odinga who was not in attendance.
"In absence of my brother Raila Odinga I'm going to ask my sister Martha Karua so that she can come and make some few remarks, allow me to break that protocol," said Ruto.
He also went ahead to apologize to Martha by ambuscading her though she was not scheduled to talk.
Karua went ahead to express her confidence that Kenya will have a peaceful election and handover come August 9th.
Narc party leader, Martha Karua urged every leader to put into practice the message of peace.
“We pray that moving forward, our actions match our words and as leaders, let us compete with ideas and not insults,” she stated.
