Daniel Musyoka To Be Laid To Rest
Embakasi East Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Returning officer, the late Daniel Musyoka will today be laid to rest in Muuani Village, Mwala Sub-County, Machakos County.
The electoral agency chairman Wafula Chebukati will lead other commissioners in bidding farewell to the late Musyoka.
Musyoka who went missing on 11th August, his body was discovered in Loitoktok, Kajiado County on 15th August by Maasai herders and later identified by his family by the help of the police.
He was reported missing by the the commission's chair after being seen last at the constituency’s tallying center.
Chebukati condoled with Musyoka's family urging the relevant authorities to expedite investigations.
IEBC officials on Thursday held a peaceful demonstration in Nairobi to condemn such incidences where in every general election their colleagues are brutally murdered.
They also eulogized the Gichugu Constituency returning officer, who collapsed on Monday and died.
According t the police report, autopsy conducted on the body of Gitobu showed that he died following a blood clot in the pulmonary vein.
According to the IEBC team, they are set to file a petition at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) demanding protection.
