National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi is slated to submit his maiden national budget projections on June 12, 2025, marking a significant milestone since his appointment last year.
According to a public notice released by the ministry, the budget statement will be made in parliament beginning at 3 p.m.
The highly anticipated budget arrives at a time when the government is under increasing pressure to address severe economic challenges such as rising public debt, high unemployment, and the cost-of-living crisis that affects millions of Kenyans.
The budget presentation will include updates on the country's economic performance, revenue projections, sectoral allocations, deficit financing, and tax plans.
