Security agencies yesterday intercepted counterfeit goods during an operation conducted in Nairobi County.
The goods were being stored in a wholesale store located at an Electronic House in Nairobi Central Business District.
During the operation, a variety of electronics and accessories including mobile phone back covers, screen protectors, and IMEI number stickers all used to complete the counterfeit activities using the Samsung brand.
One suspect was arrested and is to be charged in a court of law to answer to charges of intellectual property infringement.
Illicit trade of electronic goods offered by unscrupulous traders has been identified as a threat to consumer safety exposing them to health risks.
