Coaches and Referees to benefit from FKF training
The Football Kenya Federation has organized a CAF-D training that has attracted over 40 football coaches and referees from different parts of the country, for a 10-days training at the Lurambi CDF office hall, Kakamega County.
According to Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Kakamega branch chairman, Allan Muhando, the training seeks to ensure referees at the grass root level have the necessary knowledge about present-time football.
“We are here in order to build the capacity of our coaches because we have many people on the technical benches of different teams but they don’t fully understand football rules and how they can nurture talent,” Muhando explained.
According to muhando, Kakamega County had promised to establish 60 talent academies and coaches will be required to handle the training for the upcoming players thus the reason behind training sessions.
Muhando further called on Sports Cabinet Secretary, Ababu Namwamba to negotiate with FIFA and bring back football activities.
