Club Brugge and Barcelona played out an entertaining 3–3 draw in their UEFA Champions League, league Stage match at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
The Belgian side stunned the visitors early when Nicolas Tresoldi opened the scoring in the 6th minute, giving Brugge a perfect start. Barcelona responded quickly, equalizing just two minutes later through Ferran Torres, that is in the 8th minute.
The match remained open and full of attacking intent. Caylan Forbs put Brugge ahead again in the 17th minute, but Barcelona fought back in the second half as Lamine Yamal leveled in the 61st minute with a fine finish.
Forbs struck again in the 63rd minute to restore Brugge’s lead with his second goal of the night. However, the visitors refused to give up, and a Christos Tzolis own goal in the 77th minute brought Barcelona back to 3–3.
There was late drama when R. Vermant thought he had scored a winner for Brugge deep into stoppage time, only for the goal to be disallowed after a VAR check. Both sides ultimately settled for a point in a thrilling contest that kept their qualification hopes alive.
