Mbappé emphasized that he would never tolerate bigotry, refusing to grant hate speech the freedom to spread unchecked across the world.

The French Football Federation immediately escalated the crisis, labeling the remarks "utterly abhorrent" and announcing that they are filing a formal criminal complaint with the public prosecutor’s office.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Sports Minister Marina Ferrari publicly rallied behind their captain, affirming that an insult to Mbappé is an assault on the core national values of liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Crucially, the government and legislative leadership of Paraguay took immediate steps to distance themselves from the lawmaker's hostility.
