Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a 2–0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday evening. Viktor Gyökeres opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Declan Rice sealed the win with a powerful strike in the 35th minute.
The victory keeps Mikel Arteta’s side unbeaten after ten matches, moving them to 25 points with a +15 goal difference. The Gunners now sit seven points clear of second-placed Bournemouth, who have a game in hand.
Burnley, meanwhile, continue to struggle in the lower half of the table, remaining 17th with just ten points from ten matches. The Clarets have managed only two wins this season and are hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Tottenham, Chelsea and Sunderland complete the top five with 17 points each, while Manchester United and Manchester City trail just behind on goal difference in a tightly contested top-half battle.
