Arsenal have reached an agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge for the signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis in a deal worth €40 million. The 24-year-old winger is expected to undergo a medical before completing his move to the Emirates Stadium, with only the final contractual formalities remaining before the transfer is officially confirmed.

The move follows Arsenal's decision to strengthen their attacking options after the departure of Leandro Trossard. Manager Mikel Arteta and the club's recruitment team identified Tzolis as a priority target following his outstanding performances for Club Brugge during the 2025/26 season.

Arsenal's interest in the winger emerged earlier in the summer, with sporting director Andrea Berta leading negotiations with the Belgian club. Talks progressed steadily over recent weeks before both clubs agreed on the €40 million transfer fee.

Tzolis enjoyed an impressive campaign with Club Brugge, scoring 22 goals and registering 29 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions. His performances helped the club challenge for domestic honours and compete strongly in European competitions, attracting interest from several top clubs across Europe.

The Greece international is capable of playing on either wing and as a central forward, offering Arteta greater tactical flexibility. His pace, dribbling ability, creativity and eye for goal are viewed as qualities that suit Arsenal's high-intensity attacking style.

Tzolis began his professional career at PAOK before joining Norwich City in 2021. After an unsuccessful spell in England, he revived his career during a loan move to Fortuna Düsseldorf, where his impressive form earned him a permanent transfer before joining Club Brugge in 2024.

His development in Belgium has been remarkable, establishing him as one of the standout performers in the Belgian Pro League. The €40 million fee makes him one of the most expensive players ever sold by Club Brugge and among the highest-valued Greek footballers.

Arsenal are expected to continue strengthening their squad despite reaching an agreement for Tzolis, with the club still monitoring other attacking targets ahead of the new season.

Once the medical and documentation are completed, Tzolis is expected to be officially unveiled as Arsenal's latest summer signing as the club continues preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
