There was nothing to separate Kenya’s oldest rivals Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards as the two played to a 0-0 draw in an FKF Premier League match at the Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.

The Mashemeji Derby was played to a barren draw for the fourth time in the last six meetings and also sixth consecutive time that Leopards have failed to rattle the net against Gor in a league meeting.

AFC Leopards were however the superior side in the first half and came close to punishing Gor with efforts on target courtesy of Jaffrey Owiti’s strike that went narrowly over the target and Ojo’s 14 yard shot was saved by Gor Keeper.

Gor Mahia stepped up the tempo in the Second half and saw a couple of chances saved by Ingwe’s stopper Levis Opiyo.

George Odhimbo tried his luck from long range, but Levis Opiyo produced a great acrobatic save to deny him.

Substitute John Macharia came close to rattle the net when he met a Paul Otieno corner-kick, but he headed inches over from close range.

At the end of the 90 minutes, there was nothing to separate the Mashemeji rivals.
