Tension remains high in Tseikuru, Kitui County, following a deadly attack that left seven people dead, prompting the government to deploy additional security personnel to restore calm in the troubled area.

The government has also appealed to residents to cooperate with security officers by sharing information that could aid ongoing investigations into the attack.
Kitui County officials expressed concern over the resurgence of violence in the region, noting that such incidents undermine development and disrupt livelihoods, particularly in rural communities.
Humanitarian concerns are also emerging, with families displaced and in urgent need of assistance, including shelter, food, and medical support.
Police have reassured the public that the situation is being brought under control, adding that specialized units have been deployed to ensure stability and prevent further loss of life.
Meanwhile, investigations into the killings are ongoing, with authorities working to establish the motive and identify those behind the attack.
