KPA to construct classrooms for Coast schools

The Kenya Ports Authority has handed over a sixty-bed capacity dormitory block to Shimo la Tewa High School to ease the student population, this is among the 50 schools the company is planning to sponsor in the Coast region.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony held at Shimo la Tewa secondary school on Wednesday, KPA acting managing director ambassador John Mwangemi said that the new facilities, including dormitories, libraries, and laboratories, built since 2000, were part of the organization’s contribution towards enhancing the quality of education in the region.

The KPA MD further indicated that KPA is committed to investing more resources to build more school infrastructure to accommodate the rising student population due to the successful implementation of the government’s 100 percent transition policy.
