Will Still has been dismissed by Southampton
Southampton have officially parted ways with manager Will Still after a string of disappointing results left the club hovering just above the Championship relegation zone. The decision brings an abrupt end to Still’s five-month tenure at St Mary’s, having taken charge in May 2025 on a three-year deal.
The 33-year-old Belgian-English coach managed only two wins in 13 league matches, with Southampton struggling to adapt under his style of play. His backroom staff have also left the club as part of the shake-up.
In an official statement, Southampton’s technical director Johannes Spors said the decision was made because “the process has taken longer than any of us would have liked” and that immediate improvement was needed to secure the team’s position in the league.
Will Still’s dismissal marks another turbulent chapter for Southampton, who were relegated from the Premier League last season and are now fighting to avoid another drop. The club is expected to announce an interim manager in the coming days as they look to stabilize results and restore confidence among supporters.
