Shabana FC has confirmed significant progress in the construction of its new modern team bus, a project fully funded and facilitated by President William Ruto. In a statement issued on 4 December 2025, the club updated supporters on the procurement and assembly process, noting that key milestones have now been achieved.
According to the club, the initiative followed a special request to President Ruto for assistance in acquiring a modern sports bus. The head of state accepted the request and oversaw the procurement through East Africa Motors after the recommended chassis specifications were not immediately available locally.
The club revealed that the imported chassis has already arrived in the country, and body-building work is now underway in collaboration with Master Fabricators Ltd. Construction is expected to take between 60 and 90 working days, depending on the complexity of the team’s specifications.
Shabana FC further assured supporters that all financial obligations related to the project have already been settled, in line with commitments made by President Ruto. Required documents, including the job card, order form and payment agreement, have been fully signed and confirmed.
The club extended its appreciation to President Ruto for what it described as unwavering support, assuring fans that “the bus is coming home soon” as work progresses toward completion.
