Sarakasi Trust Acrobats are set to grace the launch of a Djibouti-based restaurant “VOGUE” on the 31st Dec 2022.

This comes weeks after the acrobats gave a thrilling circus show to The Pope in St. Peter’s Square during Pope Francis’ general audience.

The Sarakasi Trust responds to the need for the further development and promotion of culture, performing arts and entertainment in East Africa mostly focusing on acrobatics and dance

The group strives to empower its trainees and contracted artists creatively and economically by giving them tools to manage their talent, personhood, livelihood and careers more effectively and sustainably.

Sarakasi also provides social development, training and capacity building, advocacy, and cultural awareness programs.

The group is based in Ngara, Nairobi county, where they rehearse and do their performances.

Sarakasi Trust was launched in 2001, and their performances include genres of acrobatics/circus acts with contemporary dance, hip hop, salsa, afro-pop, African traditional, modern pop, ballet, and tap dancing among others.

They have graced different occasions in the country which include; national holidays, corporate events, commercial advertisement appearances as well as international shows and renowned festivals.
