President William Ruto has invited English Premier League champions Arsenal to visit Kenya following the club’s historic league title victory that sparked massive celebrations across the country. The President disclosed the invitation while attending the G7 Summit in France.

Ruto, a long-time Arsenal supporter, said he was amazed by the scale of celebrations witnessed in Nairobi after the North London club ended its 22-year wait for the Premier League crown. Thousands of fans took to the streets waving flags and wearing the club’s colours.

According to the President, the celebrations demonstrated the deep connection between Arsenal and its Kenyan supporters, whom he described as among the club’s most passionate fans globally.

Ruto revealed that he has already formally invited the club and hopes the visit can be arranged sometime next year. He said such a trip would be a memorable occasion for football fans and young players across the country.

The President noted that Arsenal enjoys a huge following in Kenya, with supporters’ groups spread across major towns and cities. The club’s success this season was widely celebrated by fans who gathered in public spaces to mark the achievement.

Arsenal secured the Premier League title at the end of May, finishing ahead of their closest challengers and bringing to an end more than two decades without a league championship. The triumph was regarded as one of the club’s biggest achievements in recent history.

The invitation is expected to excite Kenyan football enthusiasts, many of whom have followed the club for years. A visit by the Premier League champions would likely attract huge crowds and significant national attention.

Although Arsenal has not yet publicly responded to the invitation, Ruto expressed optimism that discussions could lead to a future tour, strengthening ties between the club and its large fan base in Kenya.
