Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has delivered a heartfelt message to supporters amid growing speculation about his position at Old Trafford. The Portuguese coach insisted that his focus remains on fighting for the club despite outside pressure.
“I understand that if I don’t win, people will say I should leave. But that’s not my responsibility… That’s up to the board. I’ll fight at my best to continue my dream,” Amorim stated, emphasizing his determination to remain in charge.
The United boss pointed to Sir Alex Ferguson’s early years as inspiration, highlighting how one result can change the course of history. “I want to stay. You never know. It happened with Alex Ferguson, one game changed history… So I just fight every day. The next game can be or will be the game that changes my history. That’s my job, how I see it.”
Amorim also made clear that the final decision over his future does not rest with him, adding: “When the time comes, it’s not my decision. So I’m not worried about that. And I’ll be fine… I’ll say the same.”
Despite the uncertainty, he underlined his passion for the club and his commitment to fight until the very end. “But I’ll fight every day. Because this is my dream. This is the ONLY club I want to coach. So I’ll fight until the end. When the end comes, there’s nothing I can do.”
